MollyMolly is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). A graduate of Pacific School of Religion she also attended Christian Theological Seminary during her training. Formerly, she worked with the New Church Ministry Team of Church Extension, a General Unit of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Currently, she serves as Associate Regional Minister for the New Church Movement in the Christian Church of Northern California and Nevada regional staff, and pastors First Christian Church of Modesto, California.Molly was surrounded as a child by creative and artistic people. Most members of her family practice some art, primarily in textiles. Her mother, aunt and grandmother are accomplished lacemakers. Her sisters do tatting, counted cross stitch, knitting, crochet, quilting and sewing. Her father is a prolific writer and poet. It is not surprising that Molly is drawn to textile art. Her stoles are all original and unique. He graduated from Christian Theological Seminary in 1998. In December of 2001, he completed his ministry as Minister of Fine Arts at Beargrass Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Louisville, KY. He also served as pastor of University Park Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indianapolis, Indiana.Prior to seminary, Michael studied music theory, composition, popular music and voice both as an undergraduate student at Chapman University and as a graduate student at University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a solo-quality tenor and a talented song writer and worship leader. He recently focuses his creative energy on writing music for worship in many styles with an ecumenical, welcoming and mission-oriented theology. Michael's debut CD Fruit of the Vine was released in December of 2002. His music is often heard in worship at in congregations across the country. Three of his pieces will be included in the songbook, Chalice Praise, published by Chalice Press. Michael served on the selection team for this resource.He has led workshops and conferences on "contemporary" worship, has served as song-leader for countless events, and was a "worship clinician" for the Center for Transforming Worship. Michael also participated in the "Worship Workgroup" organized by the Office of the General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) to explore ways to revitalize worship.
